British expats in Spain are now deprived of their favourite streaming TV shows after cops busted a massive, illegal streaming web site.

Unsuspecting expat customers of the favourite streaming service Internet Protocol Television are now bereft of all their favourite programmes since the illegal €15 million network was busted by Spanish police working with Europol as well as police in the UK, USA and 13 other European countries. Some 2 million clients in the Middle East, Asia and Europe as well as the USA and UK were accessing the popular streaming service and are now devastated and angry at its abrupt end.

According to the Europol law enforcement agency, the investigation resulted in shutting down servers and disconnecting IP addresses as well as gathering evidence in order to dismantle the entire network. Apparently, over 40,000 TV channels broadcasting series and movies across all three continents were being illegally distributed, with the investigation resulting in 15 properties being raided, 11 arrests being made and 16 more suspects now being interrogated.

During the raids, some €4.8 million in proceeds from the illegal operation was seized, including property, cash, four cars valued at €500,000, electronic equipment, cryptocurrencies and a quantity of designer watches. In addition, eleven bank accounts holding around €1.1 million have now been frozen and 50 IP addresses have been closed down. Some two million subscribers used the illegal service from destinations all across the Middle East, Asia and Europe, all of whom will now be desperately searching for a comparable alternative.
