StarCapital Plans To Acquire Mars Asset Management

StarCapital, a subsidiary of Bellevue Group, is planning acquire Mars Asset Management, a Germany-based company.

The deal is subject to approval by the supervisory authorities and to the fulfilment of various preconditions customary for such transactions.

Mars Asset Management GmbH will be wholly integrated into StarCapital AG, which was itself taken over by Bellevue Group in summer 2016, with retroactive effect from January 1, 2018.

Founded in 2013, Mars Asset Management is an independent asset manager focusing on multi-asset strat-egies with capital protection. At end-March 2018, the company managed assets of mainly institutional in-vestors totaling approximately CHF450m.

The Mars Asset Management team comprises three in-vestment specialists, all of whom will join StarCapital. With the acquisition of Mars Asset Management, StarCapital will be able to complete its range of expertise in the area of multi-asset strategies and further strengthen its German base.
