Two-wheeler Insurance Via WhatsApp: Bharti AXA Ties Up With Wishfin
Bharti AXA General Insurance, a private non-life insurer, has tied up with financial marketplace Wishfin’s insurance arm Wishpolicy to offer two-wheeler insurance to customers via instant messaging platform ‘WhatsApp’.
With this first-of-its-kind service option, customers can now buy two-wheeler insurance on WhatsApp.
This is a additional customer service option for the policyholders, apart from the Bharti AXA General Insurance’s multiple channels, including its network of branches, customer care and contact centre, dynamic portal and intelligent chatbot.
Wishfin had launched ‘Buy Two-Wheeler Insurance on WhatsApp’ through web aggregator Wishfin Insurance.
Commenting on the partnership, Sanjeev Srinivasan, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Bharti AXA General Insurance, said, “With mobile instant messaging platform like WhatsApp, we are making it easier for customers to get their two-wheeler policy through an effortless communication channel.’’
Puru Vashishtha, Chairman and Managing Director, Wishfin said, “The association with Bharti AXA General Insurance will help us drive ‘Buy Two-Wheeler Insurance on WhatsApp’ seamlessly. Through this innovative vehicle insurance product, we are building a financial product commerce ecosystem on WhatsApp platform.’’
It may be recalled that Wishfin had a year back, partnered with WhatsApp for testing its business solutions. It has used WhatsApp business for servicing its customers and planned to drive transactions on WhatsApp, which has more than 200 million daily active users in India.
Buying two-wheeler insurance is fully online process and no manual intervention is required. Customers can buy two-wheeler insurance on WhatsApp by simply giving a missed call to 8527844822.
Customer has to provide his/her registration number and few details before making the payment on the channel. The customer gets instant policy through WhatsApp.
The technology-led service differentiator helps the customers view and download policy and renewpremium receipt instantly and also communicate with the company smoothly.
